Sunset Rush is a fresh blend of retro and modern rock styles. There is no old versus new. Instead, the two styles work cohesively to bring a reinvented version of retro rock brought into the present day. The bands music captures nostalgia with a new vibe and creates a catchy sound, you won’t want to miss.
Formed by Lisa Lavender, who has had experience being signed with a former band, and Lisa Solis, who found success on the cabaret scene, both veterans make a strong songwriting team backed by newer faces and transplants to California, drummer Jaime Cordero and bassist Dana Socko, producing a magical mix that fell together effortlessly.
The first single, Find It On You, is just the beginning as the band starts prepping for a string of singles to be recorded and released over the coming months.
With the controversy of AI and constant changes in the music industry, Sunset Rush reminds listeners that creativity still exists. There are still songs to be heard and stories to be told. Good music for good times.

By the time Lisa could speak nonsense words she was making up her own tunes and singing those nonsense songs through her Bugs Bunny speaker box to entertain her family.
Lisa attended a private school where music was a major part of the curriculum. Growing up Lisa sang in church and in school.
By age 12 she was writing lyrics and melodies but it wasn’t until she was 26 that Lisa joined her first performance group called the Choraliers. It’s there Lisa met musical director Steven Applegate who took notice of her voice and range and decided to take her under his wing. He developed her natural skills and featured her as a soloist with the Choraliers. Eventually he introduced her to the cabaret scene where Lisa rode the Hollywood club circuit for almost a decade.
Success came as a solo artist until a failed project led a bass player at a rehearsal studio to ask her to write some lyrics for his band. She used this opportunity to hone her songwriting skills and brought that skill to Sunset Rush.
Her influences come from all corners of the music world. From JPop band Zone, Madonna, Heart, Whitney Houston and Elvis Presley to Luis Miguel and everything in between. She has never stuck to one genre making her versatile. Lisa has impressed by singing in eight different languages.
Sunset Rush has proven to be an exciting new step for Lisa. Sunset Rush is the perfect blend of skill and talent by all members and it shows in the music created. Lisa is looking forward to sharing that magic with the rest of the world.

From the age of 17 Jaime Cordero has been learning and growing as a drummer playing in genres
ranging from death metal to jazz and everything in between. Growing up in El Paso,Texas having no
family or friends involved in music, Jaime has always had a desire to understand and play music
more specifically the drums. Saving up money over the years as a teen was all it took and within the first 6 months of owning a drum set his musical journey began. Starting out with local death metal acts “Disnecrobine” is where he began gigging multiple times throughout every week as well as out of town gigs. From here he went with another local metal act “Infinite Plague” playing local shows on
a weekly basis. With these bands is where Jaime was able to learn and adjust his playing to become
a tighter drummer. After a few years with these bands Jaime decided to enhance his playing by
getting proper instruction from professional drummers as well as enrolling in the local university for music performance and music theory.. In 2020 is where he formed the band “Vormir” another death metal act which though true to the genre still took liberties with involving grooves from other genres such as blues and jazz. Releasing the band’s debut album “Celestial Carnage” Jaime was able to gig regularly with “Vormir” locally and gain the attention of multiple review websites. At the same
time Jaime was with the band “The Zodiacs” performing covers from Led Zeppelin, Joan Jett, ZZ Top, and many others. Both of these bands had Jaime gigging multiple times every week all around El Paso as well as filling in for local jazz gigs when available. Starting in 2022 Jaime began recording albums for other artists remotely from his home studio creating drum parts as well as learning parts
for other bands. Jaime moved to Los Angeles in May of 2024 in order to grow further as a musician.

From infancy, Dana grew up in around music. At 6 months old, her mother took her to her first music festival in her home state of Pennsylvania, and the concert going hasn't ceased since. The love for music that she grew up with lead her to picking up playing young. Starting in 5th grade, Dana picked up her first instrument, the flute. From there she learned to play cello, and during the COVID shutdowns, bass. From classical concerts, to worship music, Dana has performed for the majority of her life.
